Some of our happiest memories have been spent on beaches around the world. From Costa Rica to Trunk Bay, BVI and the local shores of Maryland, my children have built sand castles, jumped into waves with sand in their hair and sun kissed pink cheeks. We come home with tan lines and a collection of sea glass and shells—our souvenirs from sun drenched days on the sand soaking in salty breezes. I keep the shells close as a reminder.
Henalu is a dedication to my children and all future generations. The sand and water that makes our vacation memories so blithesome are threatened by climate change. I hope to keep the good vibes rolling so my babes can one day bring theirs to the beach, sun-kissed and sandy.
